According to owner, Ed Bray, it all started in dad's garage in 1968. Wholesaling General Electric bulbs to retailers, his dad would buy bulbs on consignment, and fill display racks at Lucky's Supermarkets.

The evolution of the lighting market has been drastic... United Lamp turned from wholesale bulb supplier for retailers, into a wholesaler selling to commercial end users, plus some over the counter retail. Today, United Lamp has a large commercial base of clients enjoying the personal attention that is demanded by an industry where everything changes.
